P.D.R. - With typical tenacity, Dr P.D. Robertson lived into his 94th year. Born in Aberdeen in 1930, Patrick Dugan was the third of Lady and George's four sons. Qualifying as a doctor in 1954, from Aberdeen's School of Medicine, Pat married Nina Romero in 1955. They had daughters, Amanda and Madeleine. In 1970, Dr Pat and his family moved to Wick where he became the consultant physician at Wick Central Hospital. A product of the first years of the NHS, P.D.R stayed committed to the original ethos of the NHS. In 1991, Pat was awarded the O.B.E. for his work as part of Scotland's Children's Panel. In 1995, he retired from his position at Caithness General Hospital. Pat is survived by Nina, younger brother Mervyn, and Madeleine and Mark. He returned to Aberdeenshire, settling at Clovery Woods of Rest. Madeleine's thanks go to many, including the doctors who attended to him over the years; Wick's district nurses and ambulance service; Lisa Webster, Sadie Rosie, Ashley Edwards, Donna Gunn, Fiona Mackay, Valerie Robertson, and Lesley Thain. Once again, thanks go to Sanders and everyone at Clair Harper and Son. On her father's behalf, Madeleine sends her respects to former colleagues from his days at the Central Hospital and CGH, particularly Carol and Janice, and the family of the late June Mathieson. Pat's love goes to his posse.
