SUTHERLAND - The family of the late James H. Sutherland (Jim) of Reay, would like to express their deepest, heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has taken time to provide support and expressions of sympathy at the sad time of Jim's passing. During his year of illness, he was well cared for by the medical teams at Riverbank Surgery, Raigmore Hospital, Caithness General Hospital and community nurses who all provided him with outstanding care and attention. The family would also like to show their appreciation to Dunnett's Funeral Directors for their professional and dignified service. Special thanks go to Rev. D. McCartney for his comforting service and Mrs L. Sinclair for her thoughtful music; Mrs F. Macintosh and Mr J. Foubister for their eulogy; Capt. M. Macdonald for his powerful presentation of piping and leading Jim to his final rest place in Reay Cemetery and to Buds 'n' Blooms for the lovely floral tributes. To all invited guests who attended the service and for the large group who gathered at the graveside to pay their last respects to Jim. Thanks to Reay Golf Club for facilitating the welcoming hospitality supplied by Ms C. Mackay. Finally, a huge thank you to all who kindly donated, in person and by post, the sum of £1000.00 to be gifted to Macmillan Cancer Support. The family are overwhelmed by the many gestures of sympathy in their time of sorrow; they are all very much appreciated. Thank you to all from the bottom of our hearts. Calum, Lucinda and Ann.
HARPER - Heather and family of the late Angie extend heartfelt thanks to family and friends for care and support received by way of cards, flowers and baking and for the large attendance at the funeral. Sincere thanks to Eric Baijal for the meaningful services at Rest Rooms and graveside; to Clair Harper & Son for their professional services; the Seaforth Club and Amalie for the catering and to Raymond, Jacqueline, Brian and Wendy for their continued support. Their gratitude to all who donated towards the collection of £450 for Cancer Research.
DONN - Gordie, Sarah and Nicola would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all family, friends and neighbours for their kind expressions of sympathy, by flowers, cards, food and baking, following the sad loss of their much loved wife and mum, Helen. To Lindsay Morrison for her support and conducting the moving and comforting services at Barnesdale and the graveside, also to Alan Miller for his lovely tribute at Barnesdale. To Karen and all at Dunnett's Funeral Directors for their caring and professional funeral arrangements. To Flower Daze for the beautiful floral tributes, the Ulbster Arms Hotel for refreshments and to all who attended to pay their last respects. The total donations made at the funeral raised £2021 which will be shared between Caithness Palliative Care, District Nurses West and Thurso & Halkirk Medical Practice, with special thanks to these services for the exceptional care and support they all provided to Helen and the family over the past few years.
MOAR - Liz's family wish to sincerely thank everyone for the thoughtful cards and expressions of sympathy they received following their sad loss. The offers of help and food from friends and neighbours were much appreciated. Thank you to all those who cared for Liz over the last months, the medical staff at Raigmore, Caithness General and Castletown medical practice, Town and County Hospital, community nurses, nutritionists, Macmillan, and carers from Marie Curie and Eildon. Thank you also to Dunnett's Funeral Directors for their professional and sympathetic handling of the funeral arrangements and to Rev. David Malcolm for the services at Ormlie and Thurso cemetery. Thank you to all who joined the family to pay their last respects and to the Royal British Legion for the catering. Donations totalling £510 were received to be divided equally between the Balmore Animal Welfare Centre and Cancer Research UK.
MAJILTON - Roy, Donna and Gavin would like to thank everyone for their kind messages of sympathy, cards and flowers after the very sad loss of Pamela. A big thank you to everyone who gave baking, soup and sandwiches to help us through this difficult time. Special thank you to Linda Smith for her beautiful and very moving humanist service and to Clair Harper Funeral Services for their caring, professional arrangements. To The Flower Patch for the floral tributes, Mackays Hotel who provided refreshments and to everyone who came to the service and graveside. A collection for local charities raised £900 shared between Pulteney House Residents' Fund, Macmillan Palliative Care and Cancer Research.
MACKAY - The family of the late Rory Ian Mackay would like to say a heartfelt thank you to family and friends for care and support received during his illness and the large turnout at his funeral. Special thanks go to the dedicated community nurses and NHS staff who provided care and dignity; also to celebrant Lindsay Morrison for a lovely, meaningful service and to Dunnett's Funeral Directors for their professional and caring services. Huge thank you for Donna, a dear friend of Rory's, for her reading and tribute of "Our Rory" delivered with poignancy and humour and received with laughter and tears from all. Thanks also go to Fiona and Popeye's/Upper Deck staff for hosting the wake and send off. Finally, the kind support and thoughts of the Thurso lifeboat crew are greatly appreciated; donations made at the funeral have raised £450.20 for the RNLI.

BATCHELOR - Neil, Adele and Iain wish to sincerely thank Dr Martens and the staff at Lybster Medical Centre, the teams of Dr Craig and Dr Duncan at the haematology unit, Raigmore Hospital, the staff at the ambulatory unit infusion suite, and all at the Rosebank Wing, Caithness General Hospital. Subsequently Ms Linda Smith for a beautiful and moving humanist service, Karen, Sinclair and their staff for their empathy and professionalism, all the mourners who braved atrocious conditions at Latheron cemetery and everyone who phoned from afar and sent beautiful cards and letters of sympathy, altogether contributing to the sum of £340 supporting Marie Curie Nurses.
