POLSON -The family of the late Anne Polson (Halkirk) would like to sincerely thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for their kind expressions of sympathy received personally by the way of cards, flowers and telephone calls following their recent sad loss. Special thanks to all the staff at Dunbar Hospital Palliative Unit for mum's gentle attentive care. Grateful thanks to Rev. Ian McCree for his comforting service both in church and at the graveside and to all at Dunnett's Funeral Directors, Thurso for their efficient and caring funeral arrangements. Finally, thanks to all those who paid their last respects at the church and graveside and who kindly donated £600 for Dunbar Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
ANDERSON - Susan and family would like to thank everyone for their kind expressions of sympathy. Sincere thanks to Rev. Leslie O' Neill for his comforting service and to all who paid their last respects and for their kind donations which will go to local charities.
SUTHERLAND - Wendy and family of the late George Sutherland would like to express a huge thank you to every family member, friend and neighbour who helped them through George's illness and after his death. All the calls, cards, flowers, baking and cooking was appreciated beyond words. More thanks to ward 7A, Raigmore Hospital, dedicated district nurses and Macmillan Cancer Support who helped us nurse George at home. Huge thank you to Rev. David Malcolm for a very moving service and also taking time out for his visits to George which meant so much to him. Thank you to Dunnett’s Funeral Directors for making a hard time easier for us all, the Ulbster Arms Hotel for a lovely tea after the service and to everyone who came from far and near. The amazing sum of £2,260 was raised by the collection and will be shared between district nurses and Caithness Palliative Care (Macmillan).
CENTER - Jan and family would like to express their sincere thanks to all family, friends and neighbours for their kind expressions of sympathy by cards, calls and baking following the sad loss of Bob. Heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses of the Rosebank Ward and the Macmillan nurses for their excellent care of Bob. Grateful thanks to Rev. John Nugent for his lovely and comforting service, Clair Harper Funeral Directors for organising everything in a warm, caring manner, Jane (The Flower Shop) for the beautiful flowers, Ronnie at the Seaforth Club and Amelia for the funeral teas. Finally, a big thank you to everyone who attended the funeral service and generously donated £614 for local charities.
WATT - The family of the late Peter Watt, Pat, would like to acknowledge the many expressions of sympathy and gestures of kindness shown to us all following our sad loss. We sincerely thank all our relatives, friends and neighbours for the many beautiful floral tributes, cards, phone calls and messages. We are overwhelmed with the support given to us. Thanks to all who attended the service and after at the Pentland Hotel. Grateful thanks to the Ambulance Service, Caithness General Hospital staff, Mahri Swanson and the district nurses whose care and support were second to none, Myrtle Gillies for her visit and kind considerate service and Dunnett's Funeral Services for the efficient way that all arrangements were made. £400 was donated for the local lifeboat.

JOHNSTONE Rev Ronald (Ronnie) - Freda and family take this opportunity to thank everyone who paid their respects at Ronnie's funeral and for the overwhelming support and generosity from friends near and far with their visits, gifts of baking, flowers and cards. Special thanks to Rev. Heather Stewart for her comforting service and to Rev. Dr. Andrew Wilson and Mr Alan Sparling for their fitting and personal tributes. The total raised for the provision of 24 hour accessible defibrillators was an incredible £4000.
