FARQUHAR - Margaret and family wish to express their sincere thanks to all relatives and friends for their kind expressions of sympathy, flowers, cards, food and baking. They were overwhelmed by people's kindness following their sad loss of George. Many thanks to all who attended the service in the St Fergus Church and the interment at Wick Cemetery and also for the very generous donations which amounted to £1175 which will be donated to Highland Hospice, Caithness Palliative Care Fund, Laurandy Day Care Centre and the Macmillan Cancer Support (local). Thanks to Rev. John Nugent for his comforting service in church and at the graveside. Special thanks to Karen at George Dunnett & Co for her caring and sympathetic handling of the funeral arrangements. Finally, thank you to all who paid their last respects and Mackays Hotel for providing a lovely tea.
SUTHERLAND -The family of the late Jimmy Sutherland would like to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for their kind expressions of sympathy. Sincere thanks to all who helped care for Jimmy in the Bignold Ward and the Town and County Hospital. Grateful thanks to Rev. I. STEVEN - Hamish and family wish to express their sincere thanks to all relatives and friends for their kind expressions of sympathy, calls, cards and baking following the sad loss of Margaret. Heartfelt thanks to all involved in caring for Margaret in the last few months, particularly staff at the Bignold Wing. Special thanks to Rev. MACKAY - The Mackay family would like to thank all relatives, friends and neighbours for the many kind expressions of sympathy received by way of flowers, cards, messages and phone calls following the sad loss of Betty, their dearly loved mam, nan and great-nan. Sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Halkirk Surgery for their unstinting care and attention particularly over the past few years and to the doctors and nursing staff of the Bignold and Rosebank Wings of Caithness General Hospital for their dedicated care over the last four months. Grateful thanks to Mrs Myrtle Gillies for her comforting words at the service and graveside, to Peter Sangster, her grandson, for sharing a collection of her grandchildren's special memories of a much loved nan and to Alan Plowman, piper, for his moving rendition of Amazing Grace at the graveside. Special thanks to Dunnett’s Funeral Directors for their professional and sympathetic handling of the funeral arrangements, to the Ulbster Arms for providing a lovely tea and finally, to all who came to pay their last respects at the church and graveside and so generously donated the sum of £1,120 for MacMillan Cancer Support. Very sadly missed.
