This picture may get you hopping mad but it's maybe better to be on the safe side as you drive around the Thrumster area of Caithness.

Lynn Ellis from Thrumster sent in this picture of a rather unusual road sign that's appeared on the Tannach road.

Lynn Ellis from Yarrows View recently snapped this photograph on the Tannach road connecting Thrumster to Haster. Though there may be good reason to watch out for deer – as the sign in the background states – the bright yellow diamond-shaped plate nailed to the telegraph pole in the foreground seems a bit more confusing as it warns of kangaroos possibly bounding onto the road over the next 14km.

Lynn jokily wondered if it could be the "effects of global warming on Thrumster" that has led to this sudden invasion of the Australian marsupials.

Can a kangaroo jump higher than your car if you encounter one on the road though?

Of course, your car can't jump so no worries there.

Don't get a shock it's only a Wick River croc
