Caithness 2nd XV can clinch Caley North League Division 3 if they secure a win in their final match, at home to Fraserburgh on Saturday.

The Yellows can cap off what has been a protracted campaign with what would be their first title success should they prevail.

A win would put them above leaders Turriff, who have completed their programme, and beyond the reach of third-placed Dyce who host bottom side Skye.

Caithness were promoted to second spot after being awarded four points following the no-show of Huntly for their scheduled visit to Millbank last Saturday.

Cameron Boyd, the departing first-team coach, is to lead the Yellows into Saturday’s clash.

He said: “We're just hoping that Fraserburgh will make the trip up and we are prepared to help them by loaning them a couple of players if they are struggling for a squad.

“This season has been really tough with a lot of call-offs and it would be nice if the boys could finish the season with a final run-out and hopefully a first-ever title.”

The game kicks off at 3pm.
