Thurso Golf Club held its annual Comm Open, a mixed-gender event, on Saturday with more than 60 players from across the county participating. The weather made the day more challenging than normal, being overcast and a fair breeze running across the course.

Thurso’s Steve Spargo was the overall winner with a hard-earned 67. Best scratch of the day was from Reay's Michael Smith, who had a great score of 73.

The best ladies' finish was from Thurso’s Aileen Simmonite and Trish Cowie, both with a net 69.
