Plank and Perry prove to be Christmas crackers in darts
Wick Xmas Cracker, the last darts event of the 2022 season was simply breathtaking.
Castletown’s new signing Willie Plank originally from Stirling won the main event.
Plank defeated Harper’s player Martin Nicolson in the final he hit 104 and 160 checkouts in the final.
In the second division, Smiddy player Ryan Campbell was unreal and is coming on in a very professional manner. He defeated Harpers player Sid Davidson.
By the narrowest of margins, he also hit a 160 outshot, a maximum and a 12 dart leg as if he was in a hurry to get home. Sid also played well hitting 16 and 19 dart legs.
Freda Perry won an all Seaforth club final defeating Kara Sutherland who hit yet another maximum, this is a record in the Wick League as she has hit five now.
Darts will resume on Tuesday, January 10, with knock out cup ties.
