Mackay lifts memorial challenge cup

WICK Golf Club played host to the 10th annual Mackay Challenge Tournament with 21 family and friends taking part in the event, held in memory of the late John Mackay and Bill Mackay, both from Keiss.

The competition was followed by a reception and prizegiving in the Norseman Hotel attended by over 70.

The John Mackay Cup was won by Aly Mackay, Wick, with an impressive 36 points in the Stableford competition while the Bill Mackay Trophy for the best Stableford score over the five par 3s was won by Alexander Green, Glasgow, with eight points.
