Youngsters at Thurso Football Academy get coaching from former Rangers man Marvin Andrews
More than 100 children were put through their paces by former Rangers player Marvin Andrews at the weekend.
The coaching session for kids aged two to 15 was part of a Thurso Football Academy event run in conjunction with Thurso Active Schools.
A total of 104 children attended the sold-out event at the Naver all-weather pitch in Thurso.
The coaching was split into three age groups – two to four, five to nine and 10 to 15 year olds. This was the first time the youngest group had been involved and organisers said it went down very well, with the children and parents all taking part in the fun-themed training drills.
Thurso Football Academy's head of coaching Alyn Gunn said: "It was a great weekend. The feedback we have received from parents has been through the roof and that means the world to us and shows that the work we put in has been worthwhile.

"Big thanks to Marvin and the Rangers coaches for coming up the road to Thurso. I appreciate it's a fair trek for them – with Marvin leaving Kirkcaldy at 3am to be at the event for 9am shows what kind of man he is. They have been a joy to have up."
Marvin was part of the Rangers squad that won the Scottish title in 2005 after beating Hibs on the last day of the season, otherwise known as Helicopter Sunday as a helicopter had to change course in order to deliver the league trophy.
A serious injury didn't stop Marvin from continuing to play that season as he put his faith in God to heal him.
Marvin said of the weekend: "What a fantastic time I had in Thurso, helping inspire the next generation at the Rangers Soccer Academy and the Thurso Football Academy."
The event, which sold out within 12 hours when tickets first went on sale, was sponsored by Robbie Fraser. Alyn also wished to thank all the academy coaches and helpers, the Park Hotel and ArmourFlex for supporting the event.
The players of the camp awards went to Thomas Nicholson and Ella Mackenzie (five to nine year olds) and Jamie Steven and Kieran Dooner (10 to 15 year olds), who all received a pair of ArmourFlex shinguards for their efforts.
Every child attending received a goody bag full of Rangers items, with Marvin supplying every child with a signed copy of his DVD at his own expense.
