Craig confirmed as U18 winner after last event of SSF Junior Series
Craig McLachlan from Murkle was confirmed as winner of the under-18 boys' category in the Scottish Surfing Federation Junior Series finale hosted by Moray Firth Surf Riders at Sandend.
The 17-year-old North Shore Surf Club member didn't compete at the weekend but had accumulated enough points over the four previous events to finish well clear of second-placed U18 boy Finn Clark (EBSC).
Craig gained the maximum 3000 points from his best three scores after some outstanding performances over the season, while Finn ended up with 2450.
Olivia Mackay of NSSC took the runner-up spot in the U16 girls' section at Sandend, losing out to Lola Mitchell (BSC), and was third at U18 level behind Lola and second-placed Callie Cruickshank (BSC).
Olivia finished third across the series in both U16 and U18.
NSSC's Tamzin Rosie came fourth in U18 girls at the weekend, leaving her eighth on the overall leaderboard for that category.

Earlier this month Craig won the under-18 boys' category in the Scottish junior national championships at Fraserburgh, hosted by Broch Surf Club.
It came a week after Craig took the British Cup U18 boys' title at Llantwit Major beach in Wales, where he finished fourth in the men's open contest.
