A BUMPER field of 50 players contesting the recent ladies’ open at Reay was boosted by a large contingent from Kirkwall Golf Club.
Making the most of ideal conditions was Basia Sandecki, of Lybster, who carded an excellent nett 66 to win the overall handicap trophy.
Also on form was Eleanor Tunn, of Reay, who scored a gross 79 to win the major scratch prize, with a better inward half from Marion Mackay, of Wick, also 79.
