Campbell wins Abbott Risk Consulting Open at Reay Golf Club

His healthy tally of 41 Stableford points was enough to win after a solid round, a birdie two at the final hole proved crucial in securing him victory on the day.

Gents club champion Michael Smith had to settle for second place on countback after he also posted a score of 41 points, with birdies at the 11th and 13th helping him along the way.

Colin and Carol Paterson won the McVitie and Price Texas Pairs competition on countback after round of 65 gave them a nett 61.

Tim and Su Hawes took second place after a round of 71 gave them their nett 61, with Martin Bain and Alan Paul third after they also posted a nett 61 after a round of 68.

Eilidh Paterson claimed the Mackenzie Cup after scoring 41 Stableford points.

Maggie Fecitt took second place on countback ahead of Rebecca Munro after rounds of 38 points.

Alistair Gunn took the Senior Stableford title with a winning score of 42 points.

Murdo MacDonald

was second with 39 points with Stuart Grieg third on 38 points.

In round two of the Gents Summer Cup, Kenny Farmer continued his fine recent form to top the leaderboard on 41 points, with a birdie at the 10th helping him along the way.

James Meiklejohn managed a brace of birdies at the ninth and 16th on his way to 37 points and second place, with Kenny Farmer (Snr) third on 36 points.
