Caithness juniors have been praised for the way they performed in Highland Badminton Group's under-13, under-15 and under-19 restricted competition at Inverness Royal Academy on Saturday.

It was a long day, with 174 matches played across the three disciplines over the three age groups, and the Caithness contingent showed that their levels have leapt forward after a good year of training.

Coach Shona Mackay said: “Our Caithness juniors had a great day and showed great sportsmanship on court. The gap that we saw between other Highland players and our players this time last year has without a doubt closed and it’s very exciting to see the progress in all our squad over the age groups.”
