Strong winds whipped up stormy conditions in Wick Bay on Sunday, with a succession of big waves breaking over the harbour walls.

A ferocious blast from the south-east had swept the area throughout much of the weekend but had died down by this morning, with the recent low temperatures giving way to milder conditions.
