The store posted an update on its Facebook page stating: "Our Tesco store will be open as normal from Wednesday.

"Thank you to all customers for your cooperation and understanding."

The supermarket closed around 2pm yesterday due to a "power outage" and said it apologised to customers for the inconvenience. It gave no further information as to the reasons for the power cut but an inside source suggests it may be related to recent work carried out in the store.
