Wick pavements to get revamp





Footways on Willowbank and Broadhaven Road in Wick are due to be improved with works getting under way next week.

Highland Council says that the works will include improved junction crossings with new drop kerbs and tactile paving to improve walking and wheeled access.

There will also be surface repairs and vegetation cut back/clearance.

Works are scheduled to start from Monday, June 23, and are expected to take around four to six weeks to cplete.

GMR Henderson has been appointed as the contractor for the job. The local authority added that disruption to road users and pedestrians will be kept to a minimum during the works and traffic management will be in operation where required.
