This year’s vintage and classic vehicle rally at John O’Groats will feature around 150 entries, with a host of other attractions including 20 trade stands.

Caithness and Sutherland Vintage and Classic Vehicle Club – which has been organising the event for more than half a century – is again teaming up with Caithness Vintage Tractor and Machinery Club to showcase a wide range of motors from years gone by.

The rally takes place this Sunday (June 8) from 10.30am to 4.30pm at the John O’Groats showground, with donations on entry (cash only). GMR Henderson is the main sponsor this year.

By the end of last week entry numbers stood at 146, ranging from classic and vintage cars to motorcycles, lorries and trucks, as well as tractors and stationary engines.

Attractions include Highland dancing display, a model boat display, Wick RBLS Pipe Band, Tumbles of Fun and Caithness Laser Clays.

Proceeds after expenses are donated to local charities in Caithness and Sutherland.
