A Remembrance Sunday service saw representatives from local youth organisations turn out to pay their respects in Halkirk last weekend.
Members of the local Guides and the Army Cadet Force were among those taking part in proceedings at the Halkirk War Memorial.
Deputy Lord Lieutenant Gillian Coghill also laid a wreath during the moving service as a number of members of the public also turned out to remember the fallen – those both known and unknown – who gave their lives for their country.
The Halkirk service was one of many held across Caithness over Remembrance weekend with others taking place in Wick, Thurso and John O’Groats.
