Members of the local Guides and the Army Cadet Force were among those taking part in proceedings at the Halkirk War Memorial.

Deputy Lord Lieutenant Gillian Coghill also laid a wreath during the moving service as a number of members of the public also turned out to remember the fallen – those both known and unknown – who gave their lives for their country.
