Thurso pupils raise more than £1200 at Macmillan coffee afternoon





Pupils at Thurso High School raised more than £1200 for Macmillan at a coffee afternoon held earlier in the autumn.

The school’s S6 Fundraising Committee welcomed Sheila Sinclair from the local branch of Macmillan Cancer Support, who visited the school to accept the cheque for £1266.38 from vice chairperson Shannon May and her fellow committee members.

The group would like to thank to all those who attended, as well as people who donated their time and baking. Raffle prizes were donated by: Sutherlands’s Chemist, The Beauty House, J A Mackay, The Salon, The Kiln Store, Ulbster Arms Hotel, The Upper Deck, Thurso Tesco, Aurora, McAllan’s, Elizabeth’s, Bydand, and Driftwood.
