Raigmore hospital's Ward 7C remains closed because of an outbreak of flu.

WARD 7C of Raigmore Hospital in Inverness remains closed to new admissions and visitors due to an outbreak of flu. No new cases have been reported today, on top of the 11 patients who have been laid low by the bug.

Hospital managers are asking members of the public if they, or someone they live with, have been ill with flu or flu-like symptoms that they refrain from coming in to the hospital to visit patients.

Coming in to hospital to visit a family member or friend in such a condition could put them and other patients at risk.

Relatives and friends are meanwhile being asked to avoid visiting the ward if at all possible and must telephone the nurse in charge before travelling to the hospital.

The ward can be reached by calling the Raigmore switchboard on 01463 704 000.
