Put on your dancing shoes and come on down!
IT’S not too late to come on down and take part in a fantastic dance event which is set to get the county rocking.
Strictly Caithness is a fabulous fundraiser organised by the Highland Hospice to raise funds for its vital services throughout the North.
The fun began with auditions in the Weigh Inn in Thurso this week but organisers are keen to welcome even more contestants to the event and are particularly appealing for men to come forward to learn how to strut their stuff in aid of charity.
The competition, which is being media partnered by North of Scotland Newspapers, is based on the TV hit Strictly Come Dancing and will involve contestants being taught salsa, jive and Scottish country dancing by local instructors Steve Hicks and Denise Imrie, leading to a grand finale on September 30.
Local fundraising manager for Highland Hospice Johanna Geddes urged people to take part. She said not only will they raise money for a great cause, they will get fitter and maybe even lose some weight as well.
Anyone interested can go along to the Weigh Inn at 7pm on Wednesday, August 17.
