Pupils celebrate the start of the school holidays with a barbecue in Wick

School holidays got off to a tasty start in Wick with a special end-of-term barbecue hosted by Pulteneytown and Thrumster Church and Wick and Keiss Baptist Church.

A good number of pupils went along to Argyle Square on Thursday afternoon to celebrate the start of the summer holidays with free burgers on offer.

Matthew Alexander, pastor of Wick Baptist Church, said: "Many burgers and sausage rolls were consumed as the holidays got off to a tasty start. Thanks to all the volunteers for their efforts."
