Variety is key to Caithness model show success
Around 40 exhibitors took part, some coming from as far as Fife, Perthshire and the Northern Isles, demonstrating the strong links and camaraderie between model enthusiasts across the country.
Kenny said: “There’s basically everything, from boats to planes to lorries. We’ve even got dolls and a World War I display. We know we need variety to get people in.”
Davie explained: “Since coming to the Norseman the show has gone onwards and upwards, bigger and better.
“We have folk coming from as far afield as Oban, Blairgowrie, Cupar, Shetland and Orkney.
“A great friendship has been built up over the years. There is quite a lot of interest in it.”
Caithness Model Club presented £750 each to Thurso Youth Club and the Scottish SPCA.
