Man, 38, airlifted to hospital in serious condition after crash in Highlands
A 38-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital after he was involved in a two-vehicle crash in the Highlands.
Police were called to reports of the crash, which happened on the A82 near Loch Ba on Rannoch Moor, at about 10.50am on Friday.
The collision involved a Skoda Rapid and a Peugeot 308.
The 38-year-old male driver of the Skoda was taken by air ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow, where medical staff say he remains in a serious condition.
The 50-year-old male driver and 50-year-old male passenger of the Peugeot were not injured.
The road was closed to allow for investigations and reopened at about 1.40pm.
Constable Malcolm Cameron said: “I would ask anyone who was travelling on the A82 near to Loch Ba around 10.50am on Friday, June 20 and saw the crash to contact us.
“Likewise, if you saw either car before the crash and have information which may assist our investigation, please get in touch.
“I’d also ask drivers who were in the area around that time with dash-cam footage to review this and get in touch.”
