Man arrested over charity collection allegations in Wick





A FOREIGN national has been arrested by Northern Constabulary in connection with suspicious activity involving alleged collections in Wick for charity.

A police spokesman confirmed this afternoon (Wednesday) that a 34-year-old male was being detained at Wick Police Station and was helping with the investigation.

Earlier in the day Macmillan Cancer Support had issued a warning regarding potential scam collections in Caithness and Sutherland.
