Service points will be closed next Thursday morning.

Highland Council service points in Wick and Thurso – along with others in Alness, Dingwall, Dornoch, Golspie and Tain – will be closed on the morning of Thursday, February 29 between 9am and 12.30pm.

Thurso and Wick service points will open in the afternoon as usual, from 1.30-4pm as will the office in Dingwall.

Highland Council says the offices are being closed to enable staff to join Registration colleagues from all 32 local authorities across Scotland in attending a National Registration training event hosted by the Association of Registrars of Scotland.

The event is being held online to recognise and celebrate the role of Scottish Registrars and the work they undertake in communities recording Scotland’s life events, registering births, deaths and marriages.
