Golden do for Wick OAPs

WEDNESDAY marks the 50th anniversary of the Wick Senior Citizens Treat.

The event got underway in January 1964 and has become a popular local function.

To mark the momentous occasion, which is being staged in the Wick Assembly Rooms, a number of special guests have been invited. They include family members of the Wick Town Council committee which supported the idea mooted by local member Gibby Fraser.

Around 160 senior citizens are expected at the event.
