Novelty dog show at Wick Assembly Rooms on Saturday





The KWK9 Rescue Novelty Dog Show is back for the first time in four years after the Covid pandemic put paid to staging the popular event.

Once again the Assembly Rooms in Wick is the venue this Saturday (June 24) where there will be a variety of stalls to complement the show along with a grand parade of KWK9 rescue dogs.

Registration opens at 11am with the show starting at 12.45pm.

The 10 classes at the novelty dog show are Handsomest Dog; Prettiest Bitch; Best Puppy; Most Appealing Eyes; Best Sausage Catcher; Veteran over Seven Years; Best Sighthound; Waggiest Tail; Best Paw Shaker and finally the Dog the Judge Would Like to Take Home.

There is always a need for more dog fosterers of which any outlay needed for the dog is paid for by the charity KWK9 including food bedding and any vet fees.

Every dog placed by the charity is microchipped and neutered before being handed over to the new owners.
