Flood alert issued for Caithness

A FLOOD alert has been issued for Caithness and Sutherland.

A period of heavy rain is expected through Tuesday, which will be heaviest in eastern parts of Caithness. In this area some localised disruption due to flooding from surface water, and from small rivers and watercourses is possible.
