Highland businesses invited to sign up for free XpoNorth funding webinar
Businesses in the Highlands and Islands are invited to take part in an exclusive webinar on Thursday, October 28, designed to break down the funding process and discuss what investors are really looking for.
Hosted by creative economy support organisation, XpoNorth, the interactive, one hour workshop will give local entrepreneurs a valuable opportunity to hear from Steven Hamill, chief operating officer for Scottish EDGE, the UK's biggest business funding competition, as well as Alistair Murray, who has supported businesses through their growth plans, and Scottish EDGE winner, Hannah Taylor of Gut Feelings Kombucha.
The session will give participants helpful insights into how best to plan and prepare for funding in the challenging current climate.
XpoNorth’s fashion, craft and textiles specialist, Joan Johnston, will chair the session.
She said: “Raising additional investment whilst growing a business is an essential skill for any entrepreneur- from outside investors to commercial partners, banks and local authorities, in the current climate, the funding mix has to be more diverse than ever.
"Having a well thought out business plan can make all the difference- encouraging objective thinking, providing the necessary information and ultimately better shaping and informing decision making for long term sustainability. In this session we aim to cover all of this and more – it is a valuable opportunity for Highlands and Islands based businesses and one not to be missed.”
The XpoNorth Preparing for Funding webinar takes place on Thursday 28th October 2021 at 11am and is free to attend. Tickets are available via Eventbrite.
