Reiss Gardening Club held its 30th anniversary bulb show on Tuesday when the hall was full of fragrance and colour.

Committee members were delighted to see an increase in entries in all the sections, particularly baking and produce. This gave judge Kathleen Baikie a difficult task in placing the entries.

After much debate, Marion Sutherland’s blue hyacinths took the award for best exhibit.

As part of the club’s anniversary celebrations the hall was open to the public for tea and cakes for the first time, and this went down a treat.
