Police Scotland appeals for Highland motorists to check dashcam footage following crash on A99 near Latheron, Caithness

POLICE investigating the cause of a serious crash in Caithness last night have appealed for dashcam footage from passing motorists.

A man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary following the crash between a car and lorry on the A99 near Latheron at 5.30pm on Monday.

And police are eager to see footage from any motorists who witnessed the crash or the two vehicles - a grey Audi A3 and a blue Volvo articulated lorry ­- before the collision.

Sergeant Doug Scott said: “Our enquiries into the cause of this crash are ongoing, and we are appealing to anyone who witnessed the crash and who hasn’t already spoken to officers to get in touch.

“I would also ask anyone with dash-cam footage which may help us to contact us.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 2621 of April 10.
