A99 crash update

Traffic Scotland has just announced that the A99 is closed in both directions due to a serious road accident between Latheron and Swiney.

A witness report said that one lorry carrying sheep was involved along with a car and possibly another heavy vehicle. Two air ambulances have been attending, it was also said. One man was seen with serious leg injuries. Fire crews are attending along with police and ambulance workers.

Traffic Scotland issued an update at 7.34pm stating: "The A99 at Forse, is currently closed in both directions due to a road traffic incident. Road users are advised to use an alternative route at this time."
