STEWART - Dr Robert (Bert) Stewart OBE, TD, formerly of Bexley Terrace, Wick, passed away peacefully at his home in Kent on 29th May, 2020, aged 92 years. Bert was a dear father, grandfather and great-grandfather, the son of Catherine and Daniel Stewart and brother to Don, former chairman of Wick Harbour Trust. His funeral has taken place at Charing Crematorium and contributions will go to Wick RNLI. He will be greatly missed.

McKAY (Warrington) - Peacefully, surrounded by her family, on 19th June, 2020, Sally-Anne (Dunn) formerly of Thurso. Beloved wife of John and devoted mother of Ian and Mark. Loving nana, daughter, sister, auntie, mother-in-law and caring friend to many. At rest.

MacGREGOR - Peacefully, at Caithness General Hospital, Wick, on Saturday, 20th June, 2020, Catherine MacGregor (nee Miller), 45 Glamis Road, Wick, much loved mother of Garry and Alastair, a dear sister and aunt. Funeral private due to current restrictions.

BAIN (Keiss) - Suddenly at his home, 31 High Street, Keiss, on Friday, 19th June, 2020, James Bain, retired fisherman, dearly loved husband of Jessie (nee Budge), a much loved father, stepfather, grandfather and great-grandfather. GRANT (Foggie/Reay) - Peacefully, at Rothieden, on Sunday, 21st June, 2020, Elizabeth (Betty) Davidson, aged 88 years, beloved wife of the late Charlie, dear mam of Harvey, Brian, Toots, Graham and Rodney, a loving granny and great-granny. Due to current restrictions Betty's funeral will be private.

STEVEN - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Annie (nee Dobbie), in Dunbar Hospital on Friday, 19th June, 2020, after a long and courageous fight. Loving wife of Cathol and proud mother to James, Tricia, William and the late Noreen. A special granny to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. MACLENNAN - Peacefully in his home, 9 Tower Square, Ackergill, on 16th June, 2020, George Alexander MacLennan, beloved and treasured husband of 57 years of Vivian. Generous and loving dad of Karen, George and Sylvia, grandad of Melissa, Fiona, Rachael, Lewis, Rowan and Lachlan, brother of Rosemary, Julie and Anne. WEST - Annie West of Halkirk, much loved mum of Claire and Louisa, grannie of Faye and Beth, little cousin of Evelyn and friend to many, passed away peacefully at home, on Sunday, 14th June, 2020, after a long battle with cancer. A private service will be held in her garden on Monday 22nd June. HOGGARD (San Diego) - Very suddenly at his home, 7258 Aquamarine Road, San Diego, CA USA 92114, on Monday, 18th May, 2020, Ryan Hoggard, aged 27 years, dearly loved son of Terry and Alison (nee Coghill) San Diego, loving brother of Sean (San Diego), grandson to Anna Coghill, Wick (née Mackay) and Sue Margaret Hoggard, North Carolina (née Williams), cousin, nephew and loyal and caring friend to many. Ryan was a 'shining light' to everyone that he met. He is now at peace with his Heavenly Father and has to suffer no more pain. Private cremation in San Diego due to current restrictions. A celebration of Ryan's life will take place later in Wick, North Carolina and San Diego. 'All lives matter.'

SLOSS - On Tuesday, 9th June, 2020, Willie Sloss, aged 84 years. Peacefully in his home, encircled by love, after a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease; an illness borne with good nature and humour. Beloved husband of Jenny, generous, loving and much loved dad and father-in-law to Sandra, Martyn, Kim, Douglas, Lesley and Colin and a wonderful granpa to Kelsey, DJ, Josie, Lindsay, Matthew and Jack. Loving and kind to all extended family and a good friend. His unconditional love was a blessing.

MOORE - Peacefully after a long illness, in the loving care of the staff at New Craigs Hospital, Inverness, on Wednesday, 10th June, 2020, Marie McGowan Moore, aged 91 years. Beloved wife of the late Joe, loving mum to Billy, dear mum-in-law to Irene, much loved wee nannie to Colin and Derek and great-nannie to Joe, Liam and Lewis. A sister, aunt and friend to many. THORNTON - Suddenly at home, William, beloved husband of Phyllis, much loved son-in-law to Muriel. Sadly missed by his family.

BRADSTREET - Betty died in early hours of Monday, 1st June, 2020, aged 80 years. Beloved wife of the late Derek Bradstreet, dear mother to Ruth, Alison and Simon and grandmother to Jenny, Martha, Joe and Keira. Greatly missed by Kirsty, Mark, Michael and Emma. Betty had a long career as teacher in Thurso and Wick High schools for which she was widely respected. Betty was a long-term champion of the arts in Caithness and was an early member and tireless supporter of the Thurso Players.
