ROBERT KEITH WALLACE 1932 - 2020 Elizabeth thanks her neighbours at Barrock and friends, both locally and in Canada and the USA, for their sympathy and support expressed by delicious cooked meals brought to her, and in letters, cards, 'phone calls and e-mails following the death of her beloved husband, Bob. The gratitude owed to the management, nurses and carers at Pentland View Nursing Home, over the past two years, is beyond measure. Their generosity of spirit and patient kindness, together with the high standard of nursing care and attention given to Bob, were all exemplary. Special thanks to senior nurse Nancy for her vigilant care of Bob during his last hours and for her compassionate support of Elizabeth during that last day. Thanks to Shona and Claire of the Princes Street Surgery for their professional attention. Heartfelt thanks to friends Della and Ian for their constancy and faithfulness in visiting Bob; and to all who visited and, by doing so, made Bob's days lightsome. Thanks to all staff at Dunnett's Funeral Directors for their professionalism. Special thanks to Karen for her sensitive help and guidance and for ensuring that all of Bob's wishes, documented years before, were honoured in their entirety. Thanks to Raymond and Donald for bringing furnishings and Bob's personal things home from Pentland View. Thanks to Donald, per Dunnett's, for driving Bob and Elizabeth south, as was Bob's wish. Thanks to Constable Jamie Farquhar for his kindness. Bob loved his life, here, in Caithness. Many of the numerous visitors, who came from Canada and the States over the years, commented on how happy their friend was; living here in this beautiful place. Our ancient land of Scotland is the land of Bob's forefathers. Private cremation took place on Tuesday, January 28th.
