Caithness Seconds' first away outing in Caledonian North League 3 saw them go down 67-19 versus Turriff.

The Yellows drew first blood with a converted try from winger Jack Floydd after a slick handling move.

They were still in touch at the interval when they were awarded a penalty try in the last action of the half when Sean Johnson was tackled high as he was set to touch down.

Turriff RFC were victorious over Caithness RFC 2nd.

That reduced the leeway to 24-14 while the tackler was sent to the sin-bin.

Turriff took charge in the second period, running in a further seven tries, with Johnson scoring his side's third touchdown near the end.

The Yellows will be searching for their first win of the season when they entertain Stornoway at Millbank on Saturday.

Caithness Krakens, meanwhile, head to Aberdeen for their re-arranged North Women's Regional League match versus the Quines.

The Krakens were awarded a 24-0 win after their scheduled visitors Fraserburgh were unable to raise a side for Saturday's fixture.
