Wick winners at Reay Indoor Bowling Club's Open Rinks

Reay Indoor Bowling Club hosted the first open of the indoor bowling season last Sunday.

The Open Rinks event attracted 18 teams from as far away as Dunbeath and Bettyhill competing in a knockout format, with victory going to the Wick Indoor Bowling Club team of James Swanson, George More and John Robertson under skip James Taylor.

Their opponents in the final were Bower Bowling Club made up of Charlie Ryrie, Dorothy Jeffries, Robert Allan and their skip Colin Jeffries.

Lillian Campbell, the Reay club's match secretary, presented the trophies to the winners and runners-up.
