Wick Old Stagers 'A' secure rifle league title in final round

Wick Old Stagers "A" secured the Division One title in Caithness Small Bore Rifle Association's winter league after getting the better of Stagers "B" in the 15th and final round.

Stagers "A" ended up with 22 points, two more than runners-up Huntly "A".

Orkney won Division Two with 20 points, one ahead of Watten "B"

Division Three winners Westfield "A" finished on 24 points, with Lairg next on 19.

Dingwall completed the season with a 100 per cent record in Division Four. Watten "C" were the runners-up, 11 points adrift on 19.

Westfield "B" won Division Five with only one loss.

Round 15 had five shooters with the maximum score – H Simpson (Wick Old Stagers), R L O Brown (Pentland) and L Thomson (Huntly) in Division One, along with G A Mackay and L MacDonald (Westfield) in Division Three.

In the junior individual league, it's a Halkirk first and second in Division One with S Campbell as winner and R Sutherland as runner-up.

L Taylor (Westfield) won Division Two, ahead of C Mackay (also Westfield).

Keiss 18 beat Stirkoke "A" 113. Individual scores – Keiss: A Johnson 3, B Cormack 4, J Harrold 4, J Dunnett 7. Stirkoke: R Innes 2, G Robertson 5, J M Sutherland 6, NCR 100.

Watten "B" 21 beat Dallas 23. Individual scores – Watten: S Henderson 1, B E Mackay 4, D Thomson 7, S Mackay 9. Dallas: J Anderson 4, K Sutherland 5, G Sutherland 5, N Sutherland 9.

Top score in Division Two for round 15 was 99 shot by S Henderson (Watten) and R Spence (Orkney).

Westfield 51 "B" beat Bogey 60. Individual scores – Westfield: J Manson 4, M Sutherland 9, F Adams 12, L Taylor 26.

Halkirk "D" 400 drew with Nairn B 400. Halkirk: 4 x NCR 400. Nairn "B": 4 x NCR 400.

Top score in Division Five for round 15 was 96 shot by J Manson (Westfield).

Junior individual league – Division One: S Campbell 4 beat J Bremner 7; I Simpson 6 beat J Sutherland 100; R Sutherland 7 beat G Campbell 13.

Division Two: L Taylor 18 beat E Swanson 100; D Sutherland v B Thomson (no contest); G Mill v C Mackay 100 (no contest).
