Wick darts league memorial titles go to Macgregor and Perry

Kevin Macgregor (Seaview) and Morgan Perry (Seaforth “A”) took the honours in Wick and District Darts League’s annual Willie Keith and Karen Burke memorial events.

The beaten finalists were Kevin Donald (Castletown Poachers) and Freda Perry (Seaforth).

Ladies’ quarter-finals: Morgan Perry bt Julie Donald 3-1; Sammy Troy bt Heather Mackenzie 3-2; Alison Tait bt Skye Blackwell 3-2; Freda Perry bt Sammie Campbell 3-2.

Semi-finals: M Perry bt S Troy 3-2; F Perry bt A Tait 3-2. Final: M Perry bt F Perry 3-0.

Sammie Campbell and Morgan Perry each hit 180, while Alison Tait had a 120 checkout.

Men’s last 16: K Macgregor bt M Nicolson 3-1; M Macgregor bt R Goodlad 3-0; W Plank bt J Scollay 3-0; D Taylor bt A Henderson 3-0; A Sutherland bt A Green 3-2; R Campbell bt S Crawford 3-0; W McLean bt A Robinson 3-1; K Donald bt S Davidson 3-1.

Willie Plank hit 180. Best checkouts were by David Taylor (115), Kevin Macgregor (108 and 109) and Marc Macgregor (100).
