Wick and District Darts League: Campbell and Nicolson have the edge in all-Seaforth final

Harper's Bar and Function Suite was the venue for Wick and District Darts League's annual pairs event.

In the main event for Division One there was an all-Seaforth final as Ryan Campbell and Martin Nicolson scraped a 3-2 victory over Ryan's dad Michael Campbell and one of the league's top finishers, Richie Budge.

In the ladies' competition the hot favourites and former Friends of the Glass winners Kara Sutherland and Freda Perry (Seaforth "B) won against Morgan Perry and Alison Tait (Seaforth ladies), who had earlier managed an 81 checkout, with a 3-1 scoreline

Queen's Hotel duo Chris Scott and Eean Ronaldson won the Division Two title, defeating Raymond Bremner and Harry MacBeath (Smiddy 4) 3-1.

Results – Main event – Division One: Richie Budge and Michael Campbell 3, Liam Miller and Brian Oag 0; Rudi Goodlad and Willie Plank 3, Sandy Robertson and Mark Thain 0; Willie Macadie and Kevin Donald 3, Graham Sutherland and Alec Clark 0; Kevin Macgregor and Marc Macgregor 3, Andy Henderson and Saulius Kazakauskas 1; Sid Davidson and Damon Meikle 3, John Scollay and Sandy Mackay 1.

Quarter-finals: Richie Budge and Michael Campbell (Seaforth) 3, Rudi Goodlad and Willie Plank (Castletown Poachers) 0; Willie Macadie and Kevin Donald (Castletown Poachers) 3, Kevin Macgregor and Marc Macgregor (Seaview) 1; Martin Nicolson and Ryan Campbell (Seaforth) 3, Sid Davidson and Damon Meikle (Harper's) 0; David Taylor and Steven Nicolson (Harper's "B") 3, David Miller and Alan Harper (Old Smiddy Inn) 2.

Semi-finals: Richie Budge and Michael Campbell 3, Willie Macadie and Kevin Donald 2; Martin Nicolson and Ryan Campbell 3, David Taylor and Steven Nicolson 1.

Final: Martin Nicolson and Ryan Campbell 3, Richie Budge and Michael Campbell 2.

No maximums were hit on the night.
