NOSTALGIA was in the air when Wick Wheelers staged a dinner at the weekend to mark the club’s 25th anniversary.

The event attracted a good turn-out of past and present members.

Among the guests was Evan Oliphant, who has been on the professional cycling circuit since competing for Scotland in the 2006 Commonwealth Games.

The 30-year-old mechanical engineering graduate has for the past two years been a member of Team Raleigh. Evan still holds the most number of club championships with Wick Wheelers.

He won six, two more than Brian Grant and three more than three times winners Michael Sutherland, Raymond Florence and Gordon Smart.
