Davie Allan scored twice but still ended up on the losing side.

WICK Academy went two up within the first three minutes at The Haughs, but a poor second half display cost them the match to give Turriff United three points.

Davie Allan put The Scorries ahead in 60 seconds when he beat Steven Coutts from 18 yards, before scoring two minutes later when he beat the offside trap after being fed a pass from Ross Allan.

Alan Farquhar was judged to have pushed Ryan Cowie in the box to concede a penalty which Jerry O' Driscoll converted and Turra equalised through Richie Ligertwood who headed the ball into the net from a corner.

The visitors regained the lead when Coutts fumbled a corner which left Michael Steven with an easy tap in, but the scores were level again when Mark Simpson struck home from a Stephen Gauld corner in the second half.

United went into the lead five minutes from time when Gauld pushed down the right flank and crossed into the box. O'Driscoll got a flick on the ball to send it past Gray and Cowie scored at the back post to send the home fans into raptures.
