Thurso Youth Darts Club members rewarded for their hard work

Members of Thurso Youth Darts Club were rewarded for their achievements when they attended their first presentation night since Covid.

Coach Trish Mackay said: "These juniors and youths work so hard. I'm very proud to coach these kids along with help from my volunteer coaches Alex Wood, Leah Taylor and Zoe Sinclair."

Junior results – Nine-dart challenge: 1 Josh Sutherland; 2 Mya Davidson; 3 Jack Aikman. Bingo darts: 1 Jake Sutherland; 2 Coby Crouden; 3 Jamie Bremner.

Joint players of the year: Jake and Josh Sutherland. Most improved players: Dylan Manson and Mya Davidson.

Youth results – Nine-dart challenge: 1 Jake Oliphant; 2 Max Foubister; 3 Mason Macleod. Summer points games: 1 Sam Coghill; 2 Taylor Forbes; 3 Sam Miller.

Player of the year: Sam Coghill. Most improved players: Jay Kirkwood, Luke Mackay and Connor Mann. Most improved newcomer: Chloe Mezals.

Trish runs the club on Monday evenings at Thurso High School, with juniors from 5.50pm to 7pm and youths from 7.15pm to 8.15pm. Anyne wishing to find out more about the club can contact Trish at 07833 688478 or trishmackay3@gmail.com

The club now has some 32 members, with ages ranging from five years to 17.
