Thurso take game to the next level

A THURSO pool team has pocketed themselves promotion for the first time in the Scottish leagues.

They were celebrating on Sunday after clinching the Scottish Pool Association’s Super 11 Division Three championship.

Comprising the best players from the Thurso and District Pool League, they proved too good for their opponents as they battled their way out of a tough group stage before keeping their nerve in the knock-out rounds.
