The Inverness graded meet was the first away competition for many of the younger swimmers from Thurso Amateur Swimming Club.

It ended with lots of individual success, with fears overcome, personal best times achieved, relay dramas experienced and medals won.

The medal-winning Thurso competitors were Esme Waller (gold 100m individual medley and silver 100m back), Lorna Darby (gold 100m butterfly and bronze 100m back), Max Armitage (gold 100m fly), Phoebe Bain (silver 100m free), Sophie Noble (silver 100m fly), Freya Allan (bronze 50m breaststroke) and Sophie Mackay (bronze 50m fly).

The Thurso "A" girls' team in the 11-12 age group won gold in both the medley and freestyle relays, and the girls' 10 and under team also won gold in their freestyle relay.

Zac Noble, Jack Bremner and James Middleyard all swam up an age group to join Max in the boys' 13-14 year freestyle relay. They were rewarded with a bronze medal.
