FOUR Thurso surfers have been selected for the Scotland squad that will compete at the ISA 2017 World Games in France.

Scottish women's champion Shoana Blackadder along with Mark Boyd, Scott Main and Chris Noble who are three of the top four surfers in Scotland, will compete in Biarritz in May.

Also chosen for the squad are Kirsty Lymburn from Dunbar and current Scottish men's champion Mark Cameron from Fraserburgh.

The Scottish Surfing Federation were unable to enter a team at this year's World Games in Costa Rica due to a lack of funding.

All six surfers were due to take part in Central America and SSF decided to enter the squad for next year's event.
