Thurso surfers head to Norway at Eurosurf

TWO Thurso surfers are in Norway as part of the Scotland squad who will be taking part in the European championships.

Mark Boyd and Phoebe Strachan have been selected to take part at Eurosurf 2017 while Dunnet surfer Chris Clarke has been named as a team coach.

The event will kick off with the opening ceremony on Saturday night in Stavanger where Prince Hakon of Norway will officially declare the competition open.

The first day of surfing will take place on Sunday at Bore Beach where both Boyd and Strachan have surfed for Scotland at the Nordic Surf Games.
