Thurso Netball Club go down to Inverness Rubies

Thurso Netball Club went down 40-30 to Inverness Rubies in their second home game of the season.

Thurso led the first quarter with some great play in the mid-court from Bethin Macdonald, Anna Swanson and Emma Sutherland.

The second quarter seen Inverness coming back into the game with some fabulous shooting. But with brilliant defending from Tegan Souter and Leah Bond the score line was kept close.

A rotation of Shona Comrie, Laura Bain and Neave Macleod in the shooting circle kept the goals coming in.

There was some fantastic substitutions in the mid-court of Rachel Gunn and Laura Filder.

But in the end it was not enough for the Thurso side who were defeated 40-30.

Bethin Macdonald who was award player of the match.

Mia Bain and Ilona Unger-Russel umpired the game, and Nicole Smith and Kerry Moran were score keeping.
