Thurso Netball Club were on the road for the third week in a row in the Highland and Moray league, losing out 64-15 to a strong Inverness Diamonds team who are the current league holders.

The Inverness defence made it difficult for the visiting shooters, although the second quarter saw Thurso make up some of the goal difference. The experienced shooting end of Vicki Swan and Shona Comrie linked well to capitalise on possession.

The centre court pairing of Anna Swanson and Rachel Gunn grew in confidence throughout, with accurate feeding into the shooting circle.

The defensive unit of Mia Bain, Ilona Unger-Russell and Lisa Mackay worked tirelessly to keep the league leaders to their lowest score of the season so far.

In the end the experience of the Inverness side proved too much for Thurso.

Anna Swanson was Thurso's player of the match.
